Nikon SB-700 Review

The Nikon SB-700 is in my opinion, the best flash unit for photographers who are just starting to venture the strobist-style of photography.  Some people’s opinion might differ, saying that the Nikon SB-600 (which is discontinued by the way), is the best bet for beginner strobist, but my opinion contrasts this. The newer Nikon SB-700 is the direct replacement for the discontinued SB-600, thus newer technology and improvements obviously makes it the better strobe/flash unit.

Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Review

I remember when I bought my first DSLR which was the Nikon D5000, I was so eager to push forward and buy my second lens to compliment my kit lens which came with my D5000, the Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6. I went to a local Gadget Fair at the KLCC and looked around various lens. I came up to a Nikon booth and asked which lens should I get as a starting out. He recommended the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D. He told me, since I had a kit lens, I would then need a fast, wide-open portrait lens. And this one is a very cheap and suitable option. And was he right!

I love this lens!

The Tokina 12-24 f/4 is by far, my favourite budget ultra wide-angle lens that is currently on the market. If someone were to come up to me and ask me how I’d describe this lens in 3 words, it would be AWESOME BUILD QUALITY!  And you don’t have to pay a premium price to get this superb quality too!

The Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 is probably, in my opinion, the best cheapo lens must-have for any enthusiast photographer whose either on a budget, price conscious or is looking to get the best value-for-money lens.  It gets great reviews everywhere on the Internet, in the magazines and word-of-mouth.
